In the spring of 2008, two attorneys at my firm, Jim Shaker and Roger Kindley, bought us a tree in rememberance of Charlotte. It's a dwarf Japanese maple that is planted in the back yard. Every year on her birthday the leaves turn vibrant orange and red and light up an otherwise dreary time of year.
